The South Side Innovation Center, launched by the Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship at the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, opened its doors in 2006 and quickly grew to its current 13,500 square feet of space at 2610 South Salina Street, across the parking lot from Dunk & Bright furniture store. SSIC’s mission is to increase the strength and size of the area economy by helping a diverse group of emerging and mature businesses reach their potential size and profitability.
SSIC uses a client-centric hands-on continuous counseling approach that begins with an in-depth assessment of entrepreneurial strengths and weaknesses, and development of a plan to address weaknesses and enhance strengths in classes, networking, discussions, and counseling. The exciting idea of SSIC programs is continuous opportunity, as entrepreneurs can access services at any time. Other benefits include access to Whitman School of Management Entrepreneurship Bootcamp scholarships, CenterstateCEO memberships, and access to an affordable health care plan.
